|Carl Bryan I have been coaching for 10 years and playing for 27 years. I’ve had the privilege of coaching players from all around the world, of different ages and levels at various clubs in four different countries. Most notably traveled around with the World’s #1 Bryan Brothers at over 100 tournaments as their sparring partner/assistant coach.I began my tennis career at the ripe age of 3 and competed in USTA tournaments all over southern California until the age of 18! Along the way my competing continued through and with my Middle School and High School Varsity teams at Coronado. As a Junior our High School team made the CIF Finals where only my partner and I were able to win every match throughout the CIF Playoffs. As a Senior I attended the Weil Tennis Academy and continued with Open Tournament Competition. I played #1 at San Diego Community College for one year while I began coaching as an Assistant for the Hilltop High School Team. My father introduced me to tennis at the ripe age of 3 years old. From day one I was hooked. I spent most of my life on a tennis court with my family and friends. I was lucky enough to have a father who’s passion for the game of tennis is never-ending. My father also has a great understanding of tennis because he’s played tennis his entire life and coached tennis during his college years. I have been coached by various coaches, but each one taught me something vital in tennis and in life. I played number one all three years in middle school, and also played varsity tennis 3 years. I’ve been coaching tennis for 5 years. Tennis has played an important part in my life and taught me valuable lessons on and off the court. I pride myself on communicating these lessons in a positive enthusiastic unique way for each individual student.
